COMPETITION INFORMATION:
Tournament General Information
1. Tournament will begin on: Dec 22, 2025 – Dec 29th, 2025
2. All games shall be played at the WSF North Facility at 770 Leila Ave.
3. Each Half Field game will be 9v9 and 60 minutes long. Quarter Field games will be 6v6 and 60 minutes long
4. Each Division has their own way of advancing, please refer to the Playoff Format page on the website, www.wpgxmasclassic.ca
5. All players must be rostered to be eligible to take part in tournament games
6. All rosters are set after the first game, no changes will be allowed.

8. Games will not be rescheduled
9. Home teams must provide 2 game balls for games
10. Prizes: Winners and Runners up will receive team trophies (not individual trophies per player) - there will be NO cash prizes.

UNIFORMS
Teams should have a set of jerseys with PERMANENT numbers. Numbers must be clearly displayed on shirts.
If a shirt does not display a number, the player will not be allowed to continue to play.
Second set jerseys recommended in case of colour conflict.
Home team must change in case of jersey conflict.
ROSTERS
1 Only current players that are registered (showing on the roster) may play in a tournament game.
2. The referee will check the team roster prior to the game. Any players not rostered will be deemed ineligible.
3. Roster will freeze on after your first game. Under no circumstances can players be added after that date.
4. Rostered players must play at least one preliminary game to be eligible to play in Knockout Rounds
5. A team found guilty of playing any ineligible player will be disciplined by the tournament committee.
7. Any team found to have played an ineligible player to the satisfaction of the Organization, shall automatically forfeit the game to the opposing team with a 3-0 win and three (3) points. The team could also possibly be expelled from the competition
8. Team managers are responsible for ensuring that the team roster/game sheet is properly filled out before handing over the list to the referee.
9. Teams failing to produce the team roster have until half time to fill in the team list and hand it to the referee.
10. Roster size is capped at 20 players.
11. Only Rostered players and coaches up to max 3 (coaches) are allowed on the team bench
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Every team is accountable for the actions of its players and officers and is required to take all necessary precautions to prevent spectators from assaulting or threatening other players or officials prior to, during, or after a game.
2. Teams must register their team colors prior to the opening game.
3. Teams are responsible for seeing that their players are properly dressed and equipped.
4. Game sheets are provided by the organization and teams will be responsible for entering the players jersey number (Players not listed become ineligible for the game). Before the start of the game, the team list is to be given to the referee, with the proper numbers and names to match the jersey of each player.
For indoor matches, all non-playing individuals or spectators are not permitted at field level and must be seated within the facility’s designated spectator seating areas.
Should no other person be available to supervise children within the facility’s designated spectator seating areas, children 12 years old or younger will be permitted to remain at field level, located behind the safety netting, away from the playing area.
Children must be supervised by an adult player, coach or manager where the children are located.
Should these conditions not be met, the match shall not be started or it shall be halted in the event that the match has already commenced.
In both scenarios, the team in question shall be asked to resolve the situation or the match shall be abandoned (resulting in a default loss for the team with unsupervised/inadequately supervised children).
1. The game shall be played by two teams, each consisting of not more than
Half- field: 9 players, one of whom shall be the goalkeeper. A game shall not commence or continue if either team has less than 7 players.
Coed Quarter- field: 6 players, one of whom shall be the goalkeeper. A game shall not commence or continue if either team has less than 4 players.
Masters Quarter- field - 7v7 - 6 outfiled players plaus goalie
2. Teams may have a roster of 20 players and can dress a maximum of 20 players. Teams may have up to three (3) registered non-playing personnel (team officials) on their team’s bench, e.g. coach, manager. All players who are dressed to play, along with the non-playing personnel, shall be under the jurisdiction of the referee.
3. Rosters are final and locked after first game played.
4. For Coed Quarter-Field Division, Players must be 2 females minimum on field at all times. Goalie can be either gender, does not count towards the minimum.
SLIDE TACKLES
Half field: Slide tackles are permitted
Quarter field: NO slide tackles are permitted
Masters: NO slide tackles are permitted
Tie Breaker Rules:
In the event of a need to break a tie to determine a team's final position or standing in their respective League/Division at the end of the regular schedule, the following tie-breaker methods shall be applied in order:
1: Wins and losses between or among the tied teams (Head-to-Head)
2: Goal differential (goals for - goals against) in regular schedule
3: Most wins in regular schedule competition
4: Least goals against as between or among the tied teams
Unlimited substitutions will be permitted, with substitutions being done between the designated substitution area – in front of the bench area (marked with lines)
Substitutions may be done at any time and are not required to be done at stoppages in play.
The duration of the game shall be two equal periods of 30 minutes with a two (2) minute half time interval.
If a team does not have the minimum seven (7) players required after seven (7) minutes of the scheduled start, the match will not be played.
(Result will be a default 3-0 win for the opponent)
If a team arrives late for the game but within the seven-minute grace period, the game may be shortened to allow the following games to begin on time.
The duration of the game shall be two equal periods of 30 minutes with a two (2) minute half time interval.
If a team does not have the minimum 4 (4) players required after seven (7) minutes of the scheduled start, the match will not be played. (Result will be a default 3-0 win for the opponent along with -1 point to the offending team)
If a team arrives late for the game but within the seven-minute grace period, the game may be shortened to allow the following games to begin on time.
OFFSIDES
There is no offside in the half-field or quarter-field competition/tournaments.
YELLOW CARDS
Yellow cards in quarterfield play will issued a 2 minute penalty
Red cards are five minute penalty.
Round Robin – Games can end in tie.
Playoffs (Quarter/Semi Finals/Finals) – Straight to Penalty Kicks
Last minute of play
If a game is within one goal, stoppage time will apply. This will be at the discretion of the timekeeper and referee
Out of Bounds
If the ball goes out of bounds and hits the ceiling or curtain, ball is awarded opposite team.
All teams are expected to play their scheduled games and not default any games.
For all defaults the opposing team would be awarded 3 points. The opposing team will be awarded a 3-0 win.
Forfeits
A forfeited game will result in a loss for the forfeiting team; the opposing team would be awarded 3 points.
- A game is deemed a forfeiture if notice in writing is given to the tournament organisers by the team wishing to forfeit at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled game.
- In all forfeited games the administration, referee and field rental fee of said game will remain the property of the Spring Fever Tournament
- Forfeited games will not be rescheduled
- Upon approval of forfeiture, both teams will be informed by phone or email.
- The opposing team will be awarded a 3-0 win
